Uniform

Prisoners are issued with a jumpsuit of a specific color (determined by their crime) during booking. The following uniform colors currently exist:

  • White uniforms, when a prisoner is not in an official prison collar, is an indicator that this person is waiting to be taken in and processed. Due to budgetary considerations (and the fact that some people may like the white uniforms better), inmates wearing a white uniform and bearing an official prison collar are considered to be in a limbo or special status that do not fit below (either that or the raccoon is being a cheap-ass again) -- but are processed.
  • Orange denotes nonviolent offenders. Nonviolent crimes against the state, however, often result in the death penalty.
  • Blue is for prisoners deemed dangerous by their crimes (mayhem, murder, etc) or behavior while in prison (mayhem, murder, etc.). Common murderers are not always sentenced to death, but assassins and war criminals are. Also applied to the "hopeless" cases who cannot be rehabilitated.
  • Black is for mentally ill prisoners. All latex.
  • Red is for greasemonkeys, prisoners who are assigned specific tasks having to do with Second Life building and script-writing.
  • Pink is for sexual offenders.

In addition, prisoners may be tagged with a badge that denotes their form of execution:

  • A gas mask indicates death by asphyxiation
  • A lightning bolt in a black circle indicates electrocution
  • A teddy bear indicates strangling

Inmates with these tags should not concern themselves overly about this. Prisoners sentenced to death may not be killed by guards until their execution date.
